Yandex. Drive stopped working in Moscow

Carsharing services were suspended until April 19

Yandex.Drive, a short-term car rental service, has temporarily stopped working in Moscow. The press-service of the company informed about it.

Carsharing work has been suspended according to the decree of the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobjanin. Since April, 13th in capital the throughput mode is entered. As stressed by Sobyanin, it is very difficult to observe the disinfection regime in the carsharing.

Practically right after the publication of the mayor's decree, the administration of Yandex.Drive reported that the carsharing suspends its work. An exception is the rent of business class cars and trucks for a long period of up to two weeks. However, then the Moscow Transport Department explained that such conditions were in violation of the mayor's decree. As a result, the measures taken in Yandex were adjusted.

The company reports the following in this regard:

"Yandex.Drive temporarily suspends services in Moscow from April 13 to April 19. We apologize for the erroneous communication about the service - it will not be possible to rent cars of any category for a long period of time, due to the introduction of stricter restrictions on movement in the city and region".
