The world's first smartphone on the Snapdragon 855 has finally received the Android 10 update

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, which in December 2018 was announced the world's first smartphone based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, finally received a stable update for Android 10. Firmware has ZUI build number 11.5.223 and is 1.8 Gbytes.

Lenovo has never boasted of timely update of its smartphones. Motorola devices were always among the first to receive OS updates. But ever since Lenovo acquired the company's mobile division, they have been updated as slowly as Lenovo-branded smartphones.

However, the upgrade to Android 10 brought the Z5 Pro GT a lot of changes. One of the most interesting features that appeared in the new firmware is the ability to control a smartphone from a PC or notebook after a simple connection. In addition, the update has received all the new features of Android 10, as well as fixed existing security and privacy issues.

In order to install new Android 10-based firmware, the smartphone must have no Root-rights. Users, who have already updated their devices, mention rather high heat during the flashing process, which can be considered quite normal.
