The report of a 775% increase in Microsoft cloud services usage was erroneous

The company corrected the mistake itself.

On the weekend, a wave of publications rolled over thematic resources, which reported a 775% growth in the use of cloud services Microsoft. The source was the official blog of the Microsoft Azure team.

As it turned out, the original message published on March 28 contained an error. It was edited by the manufacturer last night.

Initially, the report said that the growth rate refers to the regions where measures of "forced social distance" were introduced.

In the new version, this wording has been crossed out, but instead there was another one. Now the report says that the company observed a 775% increase in the number of calls and conferences within one month in Italy, where forced social distance was introduced.

Microsoft did not provide any new details about the growth of cloud services in other regions.
