Huawei showed a Kirin 985 processor

Huawei has just introduced its latest flagship processor, the HiSilicon Kirin 985. This is another 5G chipset, which is already the third processor along with the Kirin 820 5G and Kirin 990 5G.

The new processor is designed for flagship models, but does not have the same power as the Kirin 990 5G. It supports 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G connectivity standards and is theoretically 40% faster on the downlink band (1277 Mbps) than Snapdragon 865 with an X55 modem, and 75% faster on the Uplink band (173 Mbps).

The presented novelty has 8 cores, including 1 Cortex-A76 2.58 GHz, 3 Cortex-A76 2.40 GHz and 4 Cortex-A55 1.84 GHz. In addition, there is an integrated Mali-G77 graphics accelerator. Interestingly, the processor should consume as little power as possible during operation, and according to the manufacturer, the performance is 1.5 times better than the Snapdragon 865 with X55.
