As you know, for several months AMD has been selling the Ryzen 5 1600 AF processor, which is actually a Ryzen 5 2600 model with slightly reduced frequencies.
The situation is due to the fact that Ryzen 5 1600 is still in high demand, and AMD simply does not have enough 14-nanometer wafers to produce the required number of old CPUs - this is how Ryzen 5 1600 AF turned out

And now it became known that this processor will have a brother with a similar history of origin. Ryzen 3 1200 with catalog number YD1200BBM4KAF is also manufactured using a 12-nanometer process technology.
As in the case of the Ryzen 5 1600 AF, AMD simply took the Ryzen 3 2300X, reduced its frequencies and named the Ryzen 3 1200 AF. The frequencies of the processor thus obtained fully correspond to the usual Ryzen 3 1200 - 3.1-3.4 GHz. At the same time, the Ryzen 3 2300X frequencies are 3.5-4.0 GHz.
