The first case of coronavirus in the Amazon warehouse

Amazon announced its first confirmed case of COVID-19 in a warehouse. The case concerns the New York branch.

According to a statement released by an e-commerce giant, an infected Amazon employee was working in a warehouse in the Queens area in New York. All employees of this unit were sent home, and the place was sanitized.

The news of the first case of COVID-19 infection at an Amazon site could complicate the giant’s enormous tension over sending a large number of packages to customers in the United States and other regions of the world. If coronavirus spread to the company's warehouses, this could seriously limit its ability to organize deliveries. Amazon says many rules are being implemented to prevent this from happening.
