Meizu 17 got a completely different camera than expected

Meizu is preparing to introduce its next flagship smartphone, which will be released under the name Meizu 17.

Earlier published photos of the protective case suggested that the smartphone will receive a horizontal quad camera. The new renderings, which were published by a Chinese source, confirm the shape and location of the main camera of the smartphone, but now we see that in fact the phone received three image sensors, and not four, as previously thought.

Previous renderings showed a completely different (vertical) main camera.

As expected, the flagship smartphone Meizu 17 will be equipped with a single-chip Snapdragon 865 system and a modem for working in fifth-generation 5G networks. In addition, fast LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 flash memory are expected. The smartphone will support WiFi 6 and will receive an NFC module that will be used for contactless payments.

The release of Meizu 17 is expected this spring.
