Hackers attacked French hospitals in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic...

The Paris authorities have launched an investigation to find those responsible for the attack

On Sunday, March 22, a complex of Parisian hospitals, which includes 39 public institutions with a total staff of more than 100,000 people, was attacked by cyberattacks, as reported by local media.

The attackers conducted a massive DDoS attack targeting two Internet addresses. The essence of the DDoS attack is to send a huge number of simultaneous requests in order to overload the servers, which leads to failure or at least severe disruption.

The attack could have had catastrophic consequences, but it was successfully repulsed one hour after the start. The French Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI) has confirmed that the computer systems of French hospitals have been fully restored and that the infrastructure has not been damaged. During that time, access to Skype and other applications was blocked. IT security professionals were able to quickly restore much-needed Internet access.

The Paris authorities launched an investigation to find those responsible for the attack.
