Apple Patents Wireless Charging Charging Devices in Multiple Positions

The application was submitted in the third quarter of 2019

The source talked about the patent application filed by Apple, which describes a wireless charging device that works on the principle of induction. Its features include the ability to quickly charge mobile devices, and to do in several positions or options for the orientation of the device relative to charging.

To accelerate charging, it is proposed to increase the power of the charger, and the inventors propose to fight with increasing heat generation using active cooling.

With regard to orientation, to ensure operation in at least two positions, as conceived by the inventors, should be the presence of not one but two transmitting coils. When the device is installed vertically on the charging dock, the top coil works, when the bottom is horizontal.

The application was filed in the third quarter of 2019, and the U.S. Patent Office published it this week. There are no data on plans for the prospects for the implementation of the approach described in it in a serial product.
